Controller

Woodsboro Bank is currently searching for our next Controller. The Controller plays a key role in supporting the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in managing the financial operations of the bank. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong financial acumen and leadership skills.

While this role is very broad, the Controller can be expected to fulfill the following duties:

• Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations of the bank
• Prepare financial statements and reports for management and regulatory purposes. Specifically, manage the bank’s financial reporting process, including the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Monitor and analyze the bank’s financial performance, identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
• Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations to senior management on cost reduction initiatives, revenue enhancement opportunities, and risk management strategies.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
• Manage the budgeting and forecasting process, working closely with department heads to develop accurate and actionable financial plans.
• Analyze financial data and provide insights to support strategic decision-making
• Collaborate with the CFO on financial planning and analysis

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA certification preferred
• Experience in banking, preferred
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Proficiency in financial software and systems
